Peter Hardin-Levine has had a distinguished and uniquely broad-ranging career. Before co-founding Thorman & Hardin-Levine, Mr. Hardin-Levine most recently worked as a partner in the business group at Baker & Hostetler in its Cleveland, Ohio office. Prior to joining Baker & Hostetler, Mr. Hardin-Levine was Group General Counsel for TRW Inc.’s Occupant Safety Systems Division, responsible for the worldwide legal affairs of this international business with 23,000 employees and operations in 22 countries. In this role, Mr. Hardin-Levine was responsible for all legal affairs for this business, including managing employment and other complex litigation, negotiating domestic and international acquisition, divestiture, and joint venture transactions, and handling commercial, regulatory and management issues. While at TRW he also served as lead lawyer for the country’s largest consumer information business.

Prior to his work at Baker & Hostetler and in industry, Mr. Hardin-Levine was a law professor at Case Western Reserve University School of Law, where he taught employment discrimination and other courses. He also is a former litigator for the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, where he tried class-action and individual race, age, sex and religious discrimination cases on behalf of the federal government. He is a graduate of the Program on Negotiation at Harvard Law School, and frequently serves as a mediator in employment cases. Mr. Hardin-Levine has been honored as an "Ohio Super Lawyer" and one of the “Best Lawyers in Ohio.” He is AV-Rated, the highest rating available to attorneys. He has obtained many dozens of millions of dollars on behalf of his clients in both trial verdicts and settlements, including a recent $16 million verdict in federal court.

Mr. Hardin-Levine earned his law degree from the University of Michigan Law School in 1984, and his bachelor’s degree, magna cum laude and with departmental honors, from Northwestern University in 1981.
